SIGNUP AND PAYMENT
You sign up by buying the ticket. Once you have done that, you receieve a form to fill out, where you must describe a character concept, whether you’re part of a group and other specific things. The organisers will consider character ideas and strive for a balance between different kinds. If we find a character concept, a mutant ability or a group idea to be too far fetched or outside the vision of the larp, we will contact you so you can change it.
You are not considered a participant before you have bought your ticket and filled out the form.
The earlier you get the ticket, the more time you will have to plan your group, your camp and your larp experience. By waiting till the last minute you’ll run the risk of not getting a spot if there is a lot of interest. Only those who have paid their ticket will be considered when allocating living areas.
REFUNDS
There are no refunds for cancellations for any reasons at any time. You’re allowed to give away or sell your ticket to someone else as long as they are approved by the organisers, but you’re not allowed to use the Outpost Elysium social media channels to sell it.
ACCESSIBILITY
Bockaby is a former urban warfare military training ground. It is currently mostly used for airsoft events. There are buildings that have purposefully been built to look like ruins on the site, but they are safe to use. There are also some dilapidated buildings and severe wear. There is debris lying around but it’s mostly tidy. The roads are made from grit and large gravel. There is no on-site power. For these reasons we don’t consider the larp location a very accessible place, but if you can work around this situation, you are most welcome to join with whatever equipment, aid or device you may need.
PHOTOS
There will hopefully be several photographers at Outpost Elysium. We won’t have an official photographer, but any player is welcome to bring a proper camera and take pictures of the larp. You do so with the understanding that you, either yourself or through your chosen proxy, will share those pictures or a link to an external gallery on our Facebook group so people can look for pictures of themselves and be excited about how awesome they look.
Guidelines for photographers
– Respect people’s privacy. Don’t take pictures of people who clearly don’t want to be photographed or who ask you to leave.
– Make your pictures available after the larp.
– Delete pictures of the person/people in the pictures if they ask you to.
– You have to look every bit a part of the larp as everyone else. You have to look like you fit in, even if all you do at the larp is taking pictures.
Guidelines for photo objects
As a player in Outpost Elysium, you have to expect to be taken pictures of. If you have reservations about this, this is probably not the right larp for you. If there is a specific scene or a situation where you’re not comfortable with being photographed, talk to the person taking photos. Give other people who want to be photographed the space to do so.
