The facilities

  • Power: There is none, but if you bring a power generator, you can set up your camp nicely.
  • Toilets: Portaloos only.
  • Water: Yes. Bring water containers.
  • Off larp parking spot a short distance away.
  • Food: All participants are responsible for making their own food. There will be food vendors at the larp, but make sure to arrange for your own meals regardless.
  • Accommodation: All groups are allotted space in a building, or space in which they can build a camp. Players must bring their own bed, sleeping bag or other preferred sleeping gear, camp equipment, decorations and all the stuff to make their camp feel like home. You can also choose to bring your own tent and make an awesome camp from scratch. You can do it! We believe in you!
  • Weather is unpredictable, and we might have very hot summer temperatures in daytime, yet nights can get down to around 5 degrees. Good and warm sleeping stuff will be your best friend!
  • Good things to bring to pack; A tarp or two, flashlights, water containers/jugs for your camp water and a solution for cooking your food. Everything you need to stay warm during sleep. Remember you should raise your bed up from the ground. In May, nights can still be cold! Something to eat and drink from and with. Painkillers and first aid kit. Personal hygiene items and disinfectant alcohol. Work gloves. We would absolutely love it if you bring an assortment of furniture, pillows, carpets, signs, string lights, tables, sofas to your camp to make it more homey. The area is pretty barren of such things. The larp location has a policy that we can’t leave anything behind so what is brought to the site, must be brought back.

Building your awesome camp

How to make a good camp

The larp takes place in an abandoned military training site in the middle of a dark forest with no civilian infrastructure available unless we bring it ourselves. There is no electricity, no running water or showers and no water toilets. But together, we will make it work.

The TL;DR version is:

  • We will provide a smaller, limited electrical grid for some ambient lighting available for parts of the area. NOT to be used to hook up your cooking equipment, huge light show or other group related stuff.
  • We are supplying firewood but we don’t know if it will empty out, so bring some firewood of your own also.
  • You will bring anything you need outside of this.

There are enough buildings or partial structures to house a lot of people, but they vary a lot in their state of ruin. Your sleeping equipment, cooking equipment, camp life equipment and the rest of it is your responsibility.
