WHAT ABOUT AIRSOFT?
Sure, we’re cool with you bringing airsoft weapons to Outpost Elysium, but this larp isn’t about pew-pew shooty action. The guns are there for show, part of the whole ‘look good and badass’ thing. So you may bring your guns, but you MAY NOT bring ammo, gas, batteries and other things that make your gun go boom. The essence here is the atmosphere. After all, can’t have a post-apocalyptic scene without a bunch of guns, now can we?
Having guns but no ammo means you can’t shoot at people, but it doesn’t mean there can’t be conflict. You can still fight, exchange some hefty taunts and hit each other with padded weapons. But at its core, Outpost Elysium is about roleplay (and striking epic poses). And hey, you don’t need a gun to have a blast, so if you are gunless, this larp is still for you.

Building your awesome camp
How to make a good camp
The larp takes place in an abandoned military training site in the middle of a dark forest with no civilian infrastructure available unless we bring it ourselves. There is no electricity, no running water or showers and no water toilets. But together, we will make it work.
In this document, you will find all the info you need about what we will supply, what you need to bring and some hot tips for sleeping.
The TL;DR version is:
Players are responsible for creating their camp space so that it fits their off game sleeping needs as well as ingame play. We have written up a document which details what we will supply and what you need to think about yourselves.
There are enough buildings or partial structures to house a lot of people, but they vary a lot in their state of ruin. Your sleeping equipment, cooking equipment, camp life equipment and the rest of it is your responsibility.
You can choose to live in a camp you build from scratch if you want. Whether your camp is a bus, a camper wagon or a hub of tents isn’t of great importance to us. You do you! However, your camp must look the part, so take care to make it look as worn and torn as the outfit you’re wearing. Or in case of a vehicle, that vehicle better look like it’s been chewed up and spat out and still manages to drive through the wastelands. Read more about everyday life at this larp here.
